world is mine description
The otamatone was a Christmas gift from my bandleader, in case you’re wondering.
Also, a funny thing happened at around 4:33 when my hand got stuck under the white keys when I tried to bring them back up to hit the Bb octave. So it happened a little slower than I wanted it to. It kept happening during practice and I told myself to pay attention to it and not mess it up when it came time to record! And then I messed it up anyway! Ah whatever. I still really like how the final take came out. Works for me.
I recently looked up some tutorials on how to configure my camera to make the footage look better in low light. I also bought a lighting stand thingy and stuck it in the corner. From now on, the footage I shoot down here ought to look a lot better. It already looks way better than it did in the Sunslammer video! Speaking of that, the Sunslammer video isn't out yet. It'll be out on April 13th. I tried to keep it a surprise (not really). But if you are reading this post, you already know it's coming. Whoops. I guess that's your reward for being so thorough and reading everything I have to say.
Don't trust the dates on the blog posts. I wrote the post about Sunslammer in January, but the date on the post is April 13. This post's date is February 19, and I did write it on February 19. So actually, nah, I guess you can trust the dates on the blog posts for the most part. I just screw with them sometimes for no reason. The Sunslammer post is the previous post. I wrote that one before I wrote this one. I talk about a lot of stuff there, like what I've been up to and what's coming. So maybe go read it if you want to know more about, uh, everything.
I have another video coming soon in which I play all my instruments. I've actually been working on that tune, and that video, for like a year. I just haven't been able to finish. But it's coming soon. The footage for that one uses some phone camera footage (not amazing but pretty OK), shitty action camera footage (before I configured the settings to look better and used proper lighting) and good action camera footage (where I did everything mostly right). Can't wait to see how that one looks. It'll be a mishmash of shit footage and OK footage and good footage. And it's all in different framerates too. Maybe it'll be a mess! Maybe it won't be. But I am excited to share it soon. It's hard ass fast tempo j-rock with lots of guitar shredding and powerful drumming. And it comes with a surprise announcement! That one will be a surprise for real for real. I've kept that surprise under wraps. You'll learn of it by the end of that video.
Thanks for watching. Stay tuned, everyone.
